| The Cornville Community Association is starting early to plan our November pot luck event. We'd like it to be really special, to start off the holiday season. We are looking for your input into this year's event. The 2009 date is Wednesday, NOV. 11th, at Oak Creek School IN THE PAST: We have had regular a "pot luck", with entertainment from music to historical skits; and we've had a turkey dinner plus pot luck There is always a raffle with prizes or silent auctions, or both Last year We had a chili cook-off SOME POSSIBILITIES are Regular Pot luck / with some kind of program Chili Cook Off Barbecue Contest / western theme A Musical Group for dancing, with everyone bringing a snack / appetizer. KARAOKE Night, with some kind of eats We could bring in a DJ who could play golden oldies OR go back a few years and have a SOCK HOP IN ANY CASE: Whatever we decide on for the event, we'll still plan for the raffle with plenty of prizes, and maybe a 50/50. Some of these will entail a small cover charge to cover some expenses LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK: Please comment on any of these or add new ones and return to: The August 12th Association Meeting or mail to Cornville Community Association, PO Box 1452,Cornville. or contact Lois Hook at 649-3190 or via e-mail loishoo@cableone.net We'll need to have a firm plan by the beginning of September in order to organize the program.
